Disaster Relief for Guatemala

Guatemala, the homeland of Marie and her family, is in dire need after the recent destructive eruption of Volcan de Fuego last week. Towns, farms, and families were destroyed in a matter of minutes across the beautiful land as a result of the disaster. The death toll continues to rise over 100, with burn victims and survivors filling the already limited medical centers. We are asking for help to aid those affected first-hand by the catastrophic event. 

Marie's family lives outside the original eruption radius, yet still felt and continues to feel the affects of the blast.  Ash rock continues to fall daily as the country attempts to start the rebuilding process. 

Mrs. Maria Mendizabal, Marie's mother, will be travelling home next week to aid in reconstruction of the country she was raised in. Any funds raised will directly support burn victims, families in need, and survivor care. Blankets, pillows, clothes, baby supplies, toiletries and other supplies will be purchased to comfort the recovering families.

If anyone has ever spoke to Marie about her hometown, you know the special place it holds in her heart. We ask that you help someone that will never have the opportunity to repay you.
