Due to some unexpected delays Siri's family are incurring additional expenses.  We are very appreciative to all those who have contributed and we only ask that you share this link with your social media family.  I am trying to raise funds for my  brother and his family due to a condition that their 7 year old daughter, my niece, Siri,  is battling.  Siri has a condition with her pancreas  that she has dealt with for the past several years.  An extremely painful condition that no seven year old should have to deal with.  It was only due to a physician at Boston Children's Hospital, who provided us with hope that Siri would get the proper care if they went to Boston.  We never expected that to be necessary, however to our surprise no Florida surgeon was comfortable taking on Siri's case.

My brother and his family flew via medical transport to Boston on June 16th.  Robert and Kristin are living in the hospital room with Siri (their choice) and to date Siri has undergone two procedures that both were unsuccessful in clearing a blockage, draining cysts, removing stones and inserting a stent.  They are now discussing her case with physicians at other institutions to see what the next steps should be. 

Robert will soon be exhausting all of his paid time off with his employer and will file for FMLA so that he can be near his daughter during this difficult time.   Once his paid time off expires, they will be in need of  funds to assist them with their bills. 

Robert and Kristin are very proud and have never asked or reached out for help for anything and I know they feel uncomfortable with this whole idea, of a GoFundMe account, but they do not want Siri to suffer in anyway now or when she gets well.  As a family, we are helping them as much as we can with support both emotionally and financially.

Robert and Kristin are great parents and have always put Siri's needs in front of theirs.  They live  very simply  and believe that they need to teach Siri the important things in life.  The past two years I asked Siri what she wanted for her birthday; her response was, she wanted food for the homeless which she and her mother delivered and the year after she wanted Teddy Bears/Stuff animals that she gave to the police department.  She loves to do crafts and gives them away in order to make someone smile.  Siri is precious and loved my all of her family and friends. She has a great sense of humor and a generous heart.  She brings joy to everyone she meets and I would do anything to help her family avoid any setbacks if possible.  They are more precious to me than gold.
