Friends, family, stranger...
Last year, March 2017, our beautiful sister began experiencing pain she hadn’t felt before. At first, we assumed the pain was normal, a pain which would eventually go away. It didn’t. As the pain continued to progress, we felt it was time to seek medical help. In the beginning the doctors didn’t seem to find anything wrong with her so they gave her some medications to calm the pain away, but within time it still wasn’t going away. They later suggested we get a specialist, so we did. During this time we were still hopeful. We have always been a family of faith. Brought up in the church was great, and we never really experienced adversity, so we knew God was in control. After a couple examinations my sister was diagnosed with scleroderma. This disease in not curable, but it can be slowed down. Over the past year I’ve seen my sister, my best friend, the one I grew up with, go through a lot of physical changes. It’s painful sometimes to live in fear of the worse, but we are fighting. I feel helpless as a big brother, and as a family we sometimes feel weak. We’ve sought help from a couple doctors, and we’ve stayed strong in faith. But like many who go through diseases and other health problems, financial stability can be the biggest obstacle one can overcome. Over the next months I will be fighting to get Yesenia better help, better treatment, and eventually we are hopefully she will be healed. As a family we first ask that you keep yesenia and our family in prayers. It’s the toughest thing a family can go through. It beats you up emotionally, mentally, and her physically. We don’t fear death because we know life after this will be great. Yesenia knows it too, but it’s also always hard to comprehend. Our second ‘ask’ is something we as a family have never seen ourself wanting to do. But with the limited resource we have, we feel like it’s time to seek your help financially. We ask you give 1, 5, 10, or anything God or your mind has put in your heart. It’s a long way for Yesenia’s recovery and we are believing she can and will over come this. Thank you for your time.
