Yesterday In Owl's Head

Hello, we are Ryan Murphy, Max Rose, Camille Ladendorf, and Daje-Ameen Matthews! We are seniors in Muhlenberg College's Advanced Video Production course working together to create a film as our Culminating Undergrad Experience.

"Late at night, lost deep in Appalachia during a camping trip gone wrong, two young friends stumble upon a life-changing discovery, only to find that it is much more than they bargained for."

Yesterday in Owl's Head follows a Pennsylvania ex-coal mining town sitting in the dust of economic collapse, experienced through the lenses of young Jordan (played by Sully Grace), Carter (Nate Stratton), and Sparrow (Ava Mattson). Three people searching for freedom and camaraderie in a place that doesn't want to give them either. Putting this script together, we wanted to latch on to the challenges of, and emotions that come along with, being directionless, isolated, and uncertain of the future.

Our film will run about 15 minutes in length and feature an all-star roster of Muhlenberg students in both the cast and crew and will be completed by the end of the Spring 2023 semester. Everyone involved in this project is dedicated, passionate, and prepared to make something special out of this work. We begin shooting soon, and we would deeply appreciate any support possible!

As this process can be expensive, we want to emphasize that any help, big or small, is valued. Your donations will fund not only equipment rentals for low-light shooting, but also travel expenses, feeding our crew, SFX makeup, scoring the soundtrack, and collecting props. Additionally, everything donated beyond our listed goal will directly contribute to film festival submissions and elevating the quality of this project.
