Moonshine

Hi, my name is Halsey, I am trying to raise funds for my sister Taylor’s 2 month old kitten, Moonshine. Taylor rescued Moonshine or Moony and his sister, Bellini or Belly at the end of July. Unfortunately, Moony has spent most of his days visiting the vet to try and diagnose him. Well, they diagnosed him with an incredibly rare disease in kittens, called a congenital hypothyroidism. Kittens with congenital primary hypothyroidism may be lethargic and/or uninterested in their environment and have seizures, constipation, poor growth, dwarfism, and retention of baby teeth. In some cases, the disorder can be fatal. Sadly, Moony has every single one of these symptoms but the worst is his constipation which has been the biggest concern thus far. The doctors are unable to get Moony to pass anything, resulting in multiple enemas a week. Moony’s only chance of survival is to be hospitalized for a few weeks, which for my sister is impossible to make happen on her own.
