Yes Chef! Food Truck Start-up

Hi, my name is John, and I am a chef from Louisiana who has moved to Idaho with my family. I am looking for fundraising to purchase a food truck to start a new adventure and bring some of my southern roots to the West. I have over 20+ years of experience in many segments of the hospitality industry. I am a Certified Executive Chef who loves to incorporate my Cajun heritage into other cuisines while paying homage to the original dish. I love to cook with my son, David (he's 3yo), and he loves to cook with Daddy. One day he'll come work with Daddy, but I'm told by him that I'll be the sous chef. I am hoping that starting a business will eventually allow me to meet my goals of work/life balance not afforded in the regular chef's daily grind.

Owning my own truck would allow me to showcase many ideas and creations that I have, while being able to reach different people and places compared to a brick and mortar. Yes Chef! will offer a unique fusion of Great Americana and Southern Louisiana cuisine offering distinctive flavour combinations. Yes Chef! will employ the use of locally sourced ingredients and USDA certified Angus beef ensuring high-quality, scratch-made dishes. A Mobile food truck model allows flexibility in location and direct engagement with diverse customer segments. Yes Chef! is committed to a strong community presence in Pocatello, Idaho, and the surrounding region with an emphasis on friendly, quick service, and Award-winning BBQ recipes sure to enhance brand reputation and customer loyalty. The money raised will help off set the cost of the truck and equipment purchases to start the business.
