Supporting Cathy through Cancer

Update: last week we found out mums cancer has once again spread and is terminal. The doctors have given her ‘a couple of months’.

We have sent Cathy and Dave on a holiday this morning whilst she is still well enough. 

Any further donations will go towards giving mum the best for the rest of her time and supporting dad with the costs involved at the end.

This fundraiser is for Cathy Walk. 

My mum has always been kind and generous and gone above and beyond for those around her.

Now I’m asking for your help to do the same.

In feb 2021 mum was diagnosed with NSCLC (lung cancer) with lymph node involvement. After aggressive treatment and to everyone’s surprise the main cancer was gone and those around it were following suit. She was now on the path to remission and just having monthly immunotherapy.

Until she started having severe headaches, suffering memory loss and had no balance or spacing awareness. At her immunotherapy appointment in Jan 2022 the specialist sent her for a scan which showed her cancer had metastasised and is now in her brain.

Cathys a fighter and will do all of the treatment suggested by the specialists but we’re not promised a good outcome.

Cathy has been off work since her initial diagnoses due to being so unwell and now won’t be able to return to work for the foreseeable future.
