Hello! My name is Yerim, and I am a queer and trans Korean living in New York. For my birthday this year, I hope to raise $8,888 for my upcoming top surgery that is scheduled in March 2024 with Dr. Scott Mosser in San Francisco.

I am a 1099 employee without health insurance or paid time off & sick days, so this will go straight to my surgery expenses, medical supplies, lodging and two weeks of time off for recovery. I spent many years convincing myself that I could live without top surgery and find non-surgical approaches to live with my dysphoria, but I am running out of reasons to fight something that I know will make me feel so much freer and happier.

I hope this is the last summer I will have to wear a binder. This time next year, I want to stand taller and breathe easier. I want to swim in the ocean with my friends. I want to wear a white shirt and tank top. I want to be less anxious about going outside. I want to continue to show up for my people.
