Family, friends and co-workers are looking to help Lucia Ruiz who is going through an incredibly tough time in her young life. She just graduated high school, with an optimistic future. She is an extreamly valued employee at ClubSport San Jose where she shines working with kids. 

Recently, Lucia was diagnosed with Leukemia.  We asked if she would like to say anything to her family, friends, co-workers and other supporters; Lucia said: "Well, as most of my family and friends know, I have just been diagnosed with Leukemia. Yes, it was a terrible shock and I’m still trying to process all of it. I have a lot of support and I’m so appreciative – now I'm just taking it day by day. I am not depressed and not asking myself "why me”. I believe God wouldn't give me something I can't handle. I have a long and hard road ahead of me, but I'm just ready to get this behind me to finish school, work some and get back to my normal life."

Even during the most difficult challenge of her life, Lucia still manages to find a way to stay positive and inspire those around her.

Her family, friends and ClubSport family wish to raise donations for Lucia’s medical expenses during her great time of need. All donations are welcomed and appreciated.
