Dear compassionate hearts,
I am Khadidja M, reaching out from the USA with an urgent plea that cuts deep into the soul. In the heart of Yemen's relentless struggles, I've come to know Mr. Shawki Mohammed Ahmed—a beacon of light in the midst of overwhelming darkness—via social media. We exchanged phone numbers, and since then, we've become more than friends—we're family.
In the past months, I've witnessed Shawki's tireless efforts to raise awareness about the agonizing situation in Yemen. I had the humbling honor to witness his heartfelt dedication and devotion to helping remote villages survive starvation.
Today, I appeal to you to stand alongside us in supporting Shawki's noble cause in Yemen.
About Shawki Mohammed Ahmed:
Shawki, a 36-year-old married man with two children, resides in Senaa, Yemen. He has been a beacon of hope for his community, tirelessly volunteering to uplift the lives of hundreds of orphans and helpless families in the areas of Hajjar, Hodeidah, and pilgrimage.
( the YouTube video is a document about how civilians in these same named area, have no access to gas, cooking gas, health care, transports…. And how UN food ships get held/blocked at the pier for months. Therefore food expires or never reach the majority of Yemenis In these adjutants cities to Senna. please, take the time to watch it.)
Shawki initiatives include digging wells, providing construction materials to build orphanages and small houses, and supplying meals and school supplies boxes to the orphans. He also provides communities with flour, sugar, oil, corn, and even purchases sheep when possible for villages to ensure a sustainable source of nutrition, especially in isolated areas where "the forgotten" barely make it.

Why Support Shawki:
I've personally have been making regular small donations directly to Shawki for his mission, because I've seen his dedication and witnessed his empathy, particularly towards the orphaned and sick children of Yemen. He refers to them as his own kids, and the joy on his face when distributing aid is a testament to the impact he strives to make.
shawki makes it his mission to get the food to those who are unable to travel because of inexistent gas or transportation, for those sick and unable to leave their house, for self relayant small orphanage….

Urgent Plea After Recent Tragedy:
Yemen faced devastating airstrikes on January 11, 2024, cutting off thousands of families of any minimal help they relayed on to survive.
The aftermath of the bombing are devastating for the already suffering civilians Yemenis.

I cannot shake how Shawki is worry, not only for his family and community’s safety, but also how impossible it will be for any organization, local volunteers families be able to buy and distribute any food.
More than ever, they are Truly in desperate need of our help.
It breaks my heart that Shawki always responds to me saying, "What can we do about it sis, nothing. We civilians are used to being struck, used to hunger, suffering, and death. We adults are used to all this, but we must save the children."
Let's not forget the immense heart and humanity of the Yemeni people. They stand resilient in the face of unimaginable circumstances of life, with very little to no humanitarian help. Now, more than ever, they need us.

Your Support Matters:
In the darkest hour, your generosity can spark a flame of hope. Stand with Shawki, stand with Yemen. There is no such thing as a small donation; $1-$5 can feed a Yemeni kid.
I'm personally committed to sending all funds raised directly to Shawki via Western Union. I urge you to explore Shawki's social media accounts, reach out to him with any questions you may have, or just send a message of support, if you would like too.
