Yellow Bridge Collapse Campaign
Donation protected
As owner of The Lembongan Traveller I felt compelled to do something to help those affected by the collapse of the iconic Yellow Bridge that connects Nusa Lembongan & Nusa Ceningan. This devastating accident claimed the lives of 8 people and injured many more.
This bridge is the only connection between the two islands and is used heavily by both local villagers and visitors alike.
Locals were on their way back from praying on Sunday 16th October as part of Nyepi Laut ( Sea Silence Day) at a temple on Nusa Ceningan on a day that has great cultural signifigance.
We aim to raise funds to help the victims, families and communities from Nusa Lembongan & Nusa Ceningan affected by this devastating accident. Anyone who has been blessed with the opportunity to visit this beautiful part of Indonesia will know how devastating a tragedy of this nature is and how far reaching it will be on an island community.
Both Nusa Lembongan & Nusa Ceningan are heavily reliant on the tourism industry and we hope this is a way we can all give back a little to this island paradise.
Any donation, no matter how big or small, will be gratefully recieved by the people of Lembongan / Cenigan and will show our support to these two island communities at this very sad time.
We will be travelling to Lembongan in November and working closley to with locals to ensure funds raised from this campaign will go direct to the victims families and communities affected.
We thank you in advance for your support.
