Yelapa Official Municipal Recovery Fund

Beginning on the afternoon of September 29th, 2019 the beloved community of Yelapa, Jalisco, Mexico was hit by two major and devastating flash floods, caused by Tropical Storm Narda, that destroyed homes, businesses, boats, and infrastructure. Yelapa is situated in a remote bay just south of Puerto Vallarta and primarily and currently only accessible by boat.
The surrounding communities and cities have begun to help with bare necessities, clean up, and health needs but this is just the beginning of the recovery. The funds raised here will be allocated specifically to help with the restoration of the infrastructure, firstly to fund the community water system as this will be vital for daily living and livelihood. Projects will be decided upon and funds managed by the municipal delegation and members of the community, Celeste Lorenzo Lorenzo, Veronica Joya Rodriguez, and Fernando Garcia Garcia.

A partir de la tarde del 29 de septiembre de 2019, la querida comunidad de Yelapa, Jalisco, México, fue golpeada por dos grandes y devastadoras inundaciones repentinas, causadas por la tormenta tropical Narda, que destruyeron hogares, negocios, barcos e infraestructura. Yelapa está situada en una bahía remota al sur de Puerto Vallarta y principalmente y actualmente solo se puede acceder en barco.
Las comunidades y ciudades cercanas han comenzado a ayudar con las necesidades básicas, la limpieza y las necesidades de salud, pero esto es solo el comienzo de la recuperación. Los fondos recaudados aquí se asignan específicamente para ayudar con la restauración de la infraestructura, en primer lugar para financiar el sistema de agua de la comunidad, ya que esto será vital para la vida diaria y el sustento. Los proyectos serán decididos y los fondos administrados por la delegación municipal y los miembros de la comunidad, Celeste Lorenzo Lorenzo, Verónica Joya Rodríguez y Fernando García García.
