Fighting cancer the second time
Donation protected
Hi my name is Jason. I am fighting cancer for the second time. I beat it the first time and now it has come back. I am strapped with the bills from the first go around that I had just started working on when I sat down in front of a doctor and was told you have 2-3 months to live if you don’t start chemo and immunotherapy now. It was a shock to my system even more so my wife. There is no surgery to fix what I have so either it’s the treatment or death. We have got our deductible for insurance this year and now in two months I have to pay it all over again. New year starts half way through the year. Last go around and this year deductible leaves me $20,000 in the hole and now I have to come up with another $9000 for the next year. I am fighting every day just to live through this and I worry that in the event I did pass on I would leave an insurmountable debt on my wife and best friend.
I have undergone two rounds of two types of chemo and immunotherapy. I am not the type of person that asks for help but I don’t know what to do anymore. I see the worry in my wife’s face will she go to wake me up one morning and I will be gone? How to get through these bills piling up because of deductibles? I am trying this to help ease some of her worries and just try to make these times a better time to remember in the event I pass on. I don’t know what the future holds for me, I don’t know if I will live or die. I am doing what I can to make sure that what I leave behind if I do pass on is not a mess for my loved ones to deal with. Any help would be greatly appreciated prayers included. God bless you.
