At his core, Yehuda Leib a"h was a friend to all. He loved asking people how they were doing and he really listened to their answers. When he walked down the street, he would greet every single person he saw with a cheerful (if slightly formal!) "good morning," "good afternoon" or "good evening." He was known for his warm and accepting personality.

To commemorate Yehuda Leib's first yarzheit on 5 Iyar, we thought it would be a fitting tribute to dedicate the Friendship Bench at Chabad Youth Melbourne in his memory. The Friendship Bench is a place where young people come together, shmooze and build friendships - exactly what Yehuda Leib did so naturally.

May Yehuda Leib's neshama have an Aliyah and his loving inspiration live on forever.
