Yeet the Teets & Gender Affirming Care

Donation protected
Hello friends, and friends of friends.
For those that may not know me, my name is Felix, and I’m a nonbinary trans person looking for financial help with gender affirming care for myself and my fiancé, Amber, who is a trans woman.
I have a job that allows me to be the sole provider for my household, and it gives me great insurance I barely have to pay for. My plan provides a lot of coverage for medications, procedures, and surgeries that I will need over the next few years, but there's always that out of pocket number to stare at. I don't feel that we're struggling financially, but the bills come in pretty on the nose most months. After 5 weeks on T, my clothing is already not fitting the way it should and I'm realizing I'll have to buy new clothes again. Replacing my wardrobe once was difficult, expensive and demoralizing. I really would like to get top surgery next year. I want to wear a suit in my wedding and dammit my t!ts are not invited! It's too late to try for this year, so my out of pocket etc for my insurance will restart along with the calendar year.
Amber is not a person who finds it easy to let people in. She's on a generic insurance plan that not only severely limits the list of professionals available to her, but they are often scheduled ridiculously far out in advance with limited flexibility and services. She can’t ask for help, but I will ask for her. Planned Parenthood has been a blessing for her short term gender affirming care, but we need more/better options for the long term. I want to add Amber to my insurance, so that we can get her a better plan for gender affirming care that allows for short and long term goals, and opens up more options for mental health assistance. Getting her to a stable place that allows her to heal and grow is our end goal. She is and has been looking for work, but it's been hard on her with every attempt yielding no positive results.
We do not want to ask for help from our loved ones! But we’ve been trying this last year to overcome our obstacles to the best of our ability, but we don't seem to be any closer to making what we need a reality. The costs feel so tall an ask that it feels like we will never get there.

Here's where the funds would end up going:
• If we reach $1200, that will cover the monthly cost of adding her to my insurance plan
• Another $4000 would cover my out of pocket expenses for the calendar year
• Anything extra after that will prepare us for additional surgery plans in the future and procedures not covered on our insurance

Love you all, thanks for reading this far. <3
