Help Get Our Car Fixed!

My name is Katie and I’m a mom with a vibrant amazing 8 year old little boy. Our car broke down two days ago and it’s our only transportation. I recently started working again and I haven’t even got my first check. The mechanic quoted me $1400 to fix it. Plus the tow costs. I really need to get my car fixed so I can get back to work, take my son to his doctor and counselor visits and to be able to go get groceries. Any and all help is appreciated.
