Our beloved Yoga instructor, Lynda Kennedy, has been stricken with cancer (again) and is facing a long, painful and very expensive series of treatments.  Below is from a note Lynda sent to her students explaining what type of cancer she is fighting: 

"I begin a journey tomorrow.  I do not have a final diagnosis but tentatively it is myloproliferative disease, a bone marrow disease. I will know more tomorrow. I was diagnosed in 1984 with essential thrombocytocis, a cancer of the blood that caused my platelet count to be 4-5 times normal. Until now I was asymptomatic. I am ill now because it is changing and I knew from the beginning this could happen. Tomorrow I start chemotherapy, five days for two hours, five days off, and so on. The plan will change but sounds like this will be for about six months.  If all goes well, I will be well at the end of this."

I am starting this fund to help her and her family as they face the medical, financial and psychological impacts that are ahead of them as they fight this latest challenge.  Please pass this information along as you think appropriate.  

Lynda has been such an inspriation to so many as we seek to find a calm and healthy path through this chaotic world that the opportunity to return those blessings is a natural extension of everything she has taught us.
