As some of you may know my wife Mandy and I are expecting twin daughters. Back in October Mandy contracted covid. Even after the antibody treatment she never seemed to get over it. She couldn’t go back to her job as a CNA because she was so short of breath constantly and could barely breathe even a month after having covid. Now to bring you up to what’s currently going on. On Tuesday morning this week Mandy’s water broke and she started to go into labor with the twins. Since she’s only 32 weeks the doctors gave her medications to stop the contractions and labor. The goal is to keep Mandy pregnant for two more weeks and then deliver them by c section. She has to remain in the hospital since her water has broke and the risk of infection to the babies is high. After that the twins will have to be in the nicu unit until they are able to go home with us which could be another several weeks depending on how they are when they are born. With Mandy being in the hospital for the next few weeks herself and then the twins having to be there when they come out is putting some financial stress on our currently one income household and having three children at home at the moment to support besides is getting very difficult to do. Just the gas to go back and forth to the hospital is adding up. Mandy had used up all her pto and sick time while she was off with covid and now has to pay her health insurance out of pocket starting in December. I’ve had to alter my work hours to accommodate for our three kids that are at home since she’s in the hospital so my income will also fall short to get us through this trying time. Anything is greatly appreciated at this point. I don’t want Mandy anymore stressed than she is so all your prayers are greatly appreciated for a safe and healthy delivery and outcome for our girls.
