Years of Abuse. No Support Left. I Still Want to Graduate.

Hi, my name is Alexandria, and I’m a student at the University of Virginia studying pre-law.

I’m raising funds to escape an abusive home and stay in school. For years, I endured emotional neglect, manipulation, and violence within my family. I haven’t lived with my family since I was 14 due to this. My mother recently sold her home and moved into my grandmother’s house, and everything escalated.

On Father’s Day, my father physically choked and assaulted me. I also endured years of ongoing physical and verbal abuse from my oldest sister throughout my childhood, with threats to my life. I have filed two protective orders and criminal charges against both of them. My mother, who has been emotionally abusive, controlling, and cruel toward me since I was a young girl, not only enabled this environment, but she is now retaliating by threatening to evict me and cut off all financial support for my education after I chose to speak out and protect myself.

Despite this, I am committed to building a life of freedom and justice. I’m on track to become a lawyer so I can defend others who’ve been silenced or abused, but I need help right now to survive and stay enrolled.

I’m seeking $10,000–$15,000 to help with:
