The FRA at St John’s is an amazing group of people raising funds to help our school community, and I thought it time I lend a hand! I am hoping to run the Colchester Half Marathon on 16th March, and this year I would love to raise some money for the school. The FRA organise many fundraising events throughout the year, and they usually spend the money where the majority of children at school will benefit. On this occasion, I would really like to raise money for the Year R outdoor classroom area.

We have already received help from local businesses with new fencing and donations of equipment, but the Year R team are keen to keep updating this important area. Whilst I appreciate this won’t benefit every child currently at school, it will be brilliant for the 30 youngest members of our school, and for the children who will join our school in the near future!

If you could spare even just a few pounds to this cause, I would be very grateful. I know your support will help to push me round the 13.1 miles (which includes the challenge of running up North Hill and Ipswich road!!) and believe me, St John’s is a wonderful community to support too!
