Hi, my name is Paola Sommer, and I will be working as an intern at St. Aldates School of Ministry in Oxford.

As a recent graduate in Piano Performance from the University of Alabama, I am taking a gap year before hopefully attending medical school in Fall of 2023. When deciding what to do in this next year, I realized I wanted to take time to invest in what is most important to me: my relationship with Jesus.

I applied and was accepted to the year-long St. Aldates School of Ministry Post Graduate program, where I will lead bible studies, help postgraduates at Oxford University integrate their studies with their faith, and work in evangelism. Aside from my duties with the postgraduate community, I will dive deeper into my walk with Christ through intense Bible study, spiritual disciplines, and church ministry.

I am very excited about this opportunity to grow and work in ministry, and I know it will equip me to live out my faith as a future physician.

However, this journey is not something I can do alone. While not extremely expensive, the program still has a price tag, and the internship is unpaid. I am also in the process of obtaining a visa, which has proved to be a costly endeavor. So, I am asking for you to prayerfully consider partnering with me in this year of ministry. This support will go towards the program tuition, visa, airfare, food, and purchasing a bicycle to travel around Oxford. This totals in at around 15-20 thousand dollars.
