Year 2 playground improvements

Hi,

We are parents of yr2 children and every morning at drop off we look around the playground and think- this is pretty miserable.

A lot of the school now is bright and inspiring, but this little corner feels a bit dull and neglected. Not exactly an inspiring place for our children to look out the window, learn and play.

We got together with Miss Sweet the year 2 head (and all round legend) to make a plan to make this space better- and now we're raising money for...

A mural to cover the small wall where the chess board is- the mural will add some much-needed colour and be on the theme of 'play and friendship' (our long term goal is to do one on the larger back wall, but that wall requires re-pointing first) £50

Recycled plastic rainbow benches x 2 £190 each.

Balance beams £550

A 'living wall' a wall of plants going up the back wall, will also be the opportunity for the kids to plant seeds- £500

Brightening up the rest of the yard with some painting depending on how much additional money we can raise

All will be designed to create a space that's inspiring. As soon as the money is raised we will start buying the furniture so the changes happen as quickly as possible and our kids get to enjoy them!

We will be doing fundraising activities over the next few months to try and get these changes implemented by the summer term, but we also understand that sometimes it's just easier to donate some money, which is why we've set up this page.

Any amount helps and will go directly to improving this corner of the school.
