Emergency Medical Fund for Michael and Jaime Allen

Our boss here at Flowers by Sharon Florist could use your help. Jaime has been trying her best to keep the flower shop going while facing several different family medical emergencies all at once. Her Mom, Linda Haydon, was recently diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. She underwent brain surgery to remove most of the tumor. They were able to burn away about 90% of it with a laser. She is doing better now but has been in the hospital and rehab since the beginning of February. She will start her treatments soon, once she returns home, to get rid of the tumor remnants.

Jaime's husband, Michael had a double brain bleed while Jaime was at the hospital with her Mom. He required 2 emergency brain surgeries in the span of several days. Linda and Mike were both at the same hospital and the same rehab facility, so that helped. It was a very scary and stressful time for the whole family. He is back home now, after spending time in the hospital and rehab, and is doing much better.

Their family has been through three emergency brain surgeries, many nights spent in the hospital, and lots of time spent worrying. The unfortunate side of medical care is now starting to creep in. The bills are adding up fast! For Michael's surgeries and hospital stays alone, it's getting close to half a million dollars. They are fortunate enough to have insurance, but their part is going to be close to $20000 out of pocket. With Jaime being gone from the shop so much and Mike not working, they've depleted their savings.

All donations will go directly to Jaime and Michael to cover his medical bills. Neither of them wanted to ask for help. They feel awkward about it and are very proud people. Since they're both usually the first to step up to encourage and help others, we wanted to do something to help them! Every little bit helps. If you are not able to donate, it's okay!
