SAVING HUNTERS & OUR 36 RESCUED STREET DOGS
Donation protected
Most of you will already know Hunters have to vacate their premises next month due to the current expiry of their lease which unfortunately car'nt be renewed. The reason for this is the land is going to be redeveloped by the current owner.
We are desperately trying everything possible to save not only Hunters but all of our 36 rescued street dogs. Many of our lovely supporters will be familiar with many of our rescued street dogs especially some of our long term residents like Shelby, our golden oldies George, Sandy & Honey. The mischievous musketeers The M's (Mabel, Maka, Mato & Millie) & Bobby who was rescued from another shelter & diagnosed with leish which required urgent medical care & specialist medication. This is not to mention all the puppies currently in our care.
Hunters have been established for 5 years now & helped rescue, rehabilitate & rehome many vulnerable street dogs both locally & abroad. We don't want our journey to end here as there are still so many more poor animals in need of our help & support.
Hunters are now at risk of losing everything that Hakan & Hayley have worked so hard to achieve & unless we are able to relocate we don't know what the future holds not only for them but for all the rescued street dogs in our care.
Hakan has currently been offered a lifeline & if we are able to raise £10,000 as opposed to the unobtainable rather large amount of £70,000 previously required to buy a plot of land we will be able to continue with our much needed work.
The £10,000 will secure a 5 year rental lease on the proposed plot of land. It is in a perfect location up in the forest which is of upmost importance a safe place for all of our dogs, there is access to water & electricity. The money raised will also cover relocation costs of all of our buildings, fences etc including for them all to be disassembled, transported & rebuilt again from our current location just outside Fethiye in Turkey to our possible new location in Seydikemer which is 45mins away.
We realise this is still a big amount to raise in such a short period of time but we are not giving up & will try everything possible to make this happen.
It has already been such a difficult 18 months not only financially but emotionally too due to all the Covid restrictions this has not only affected us but everyone else worldwide.
We have just about managed to pull through & covered all our food & veterinary bills with your continued help & support.
Our destiny is literally now in your hands & we are asking for your help to secure the future for Hunters & all the rescued street animals in our care.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post & we have everything crossed for our future.
Lots of love from all of us at Hunters & love & licks from all of our beautiful fur babies. ❤❤❤ xxx
