Dennis Chard Cancer Treatment Fund
Donation protected
My name is Tammy Major and I have started this fund for my dad, Dennis Chard. He is a hard working, proud, Vietnam Veteran and a lifelong resident of Sanilac County. He is currently battling Inoperable Stage 3, Small Cell, Lung Cancer. He was working full time until just one week before his diagnosis less than a month ago. He is now unable to work at all. Due to the critical nature of his tumor, he has had very little time before starting his first round of chemotherapy and now radiation. His tumor is closing off his Superior Vena Cava, the vein that brings blood back from the brain to the heart. It is causing swelling and pain in his head and neck. Doctors are working very quickly to try and shrink the main tumor to keep him off of life support. He will also need radiation on his brain and experimental medication to help with the side effects. The medication is as much as $1,000 a prescription.
This fund is to help Dennis and his wife, Bonnie, offset his sudden loss of wages and help with the growing medical bills. He is receiving treatment in Battle Creek and has do to a lot traveling from his home in Marlette. Bonnie also works full time but needs to take time off to drive him to his treaments and appointments. This medical emergency has been a huge strain on their finances.
Please consider helping thru prayer and/or donations. Any amount would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your help.
