HELP ROBOTICS TEAM 687, THE NERD HERD GO TO WORLDS

 

Two years ago, in 2017, we were invited to the FRC World Championship but were unable to attend due to lack of funds.  Help make 2019 different. We're raising money for air travel, ground transportation, lodging and meals for our team. 

After intense competition at the Arizona North Regional and the Los Angeles Regional, FRC687 The Nerd Herd, finished with a combined record of 15-9-1. Go 687!!! Our team was also recognized with the AUTONOMOUS  PROGRAMMING AWARD at the Arizona North Regional and the INNOVATION IN CONTROL AWARD at the Los Angeles Regional.

"Under strict rules, limited resources, and an intense six-week time limit, teams of students are challenged to raise funds, design a team "brand," hone teamwork skills, and build and program industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game against like-minded competitors. It’s as close to real-world engineering as a student can get. Volunteer professional mentors lend their time and talents to guide each team. Each season ends with an exciting FIRST Championship."
