I am thrilled to announce the formation of The Least of These Animal Sanctuary.
For quite sometime I have had a desire to help animals on a larger scale beyond that of my pet sitting business and my own personal group of special critters.
I was recently approved to operate as a nonprofit organization by the state of Texas and am currently awaiting the approval of my tax exemption. Woohoo! Yes!!!
My mission is to take in senior and specially-abled animals and provide them with a safe, secure and comfortable environment in which to live out the remainder of their lives. In addition, I will be providing both short and long term boarding for the pets of active military personnel.
In order to begin taking in animals however, I need a building. My goal is to create a comfortable home style atmosphere in which these babies can thrive and live their best lives.
This is a time to celebrate and to have some fun so I will be throwing in some goodies as well! So here’s a list of some of the loot:
*Naming rights to the building for the highest $ donation
*Drawing for 5 days of boarding at the facility
*Drawing for 5 days in home pet sitting, by yours truly, for local donors
*Drawing for a handmade quilt
I understand that this is a tough and uncertain economy that we find ourselves in these days. The facts are though that people continue to drop off animals at shelters at an alarming rate and more and more people are unable to care for their family pets, therefore my commitment to saving as many animals as possible grows stronger every day.
