In Loving Memory of Ollie.

It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of our dear friend and podcast family member, Ollie.

To the listeners of the 1912 Exiles, he wasn't just a guest or contributor—he was our fifth Beatle, an irreplaceable spark who brought wit, warmth, and unwavering passion to every episode. Ollie lived and breathed Newport County, and did so with a wisdom beyond his years.

Whether he was calculating our latest Scrabble Points Per Squad Member average, delivering spot-on takes in the tactics truck and riding the rollercoaster of League Two life in various far flung stadia, his voice was unmistakable. He had a gift for turning frustration into humour, defeats into hope and lofty score predictions in the face of poor form into moments we all looked forward to sharing under the floodlights.

We miss his laugh, his uncanny ability to know exactly which replica kit to wear each game so he matched the players, his simultaneously impressive but also maddening points-per-mile tally but most importantly of all, his friendship. Ollie made our podcast—and our community—better, brighter, and more fun.

Professionally, Ollie had made great inroads into the construction industry by joining Laing O'Rourke's Professional Apprenticeship Pathway last September and would often speak glowingly about the oppurtunity, support and warmest welcome to the business provided by colleagues and mentors alike. His contagious enthusiasm and kindness quickly became a staple at the heart of the teams in South Wales and I know the teams there will be feeling an immense sense of loss at this time.

This GoFundMe is to support his family at this difficult time, honoring a young life full of joy, loyalty, and too-short a time with us.

If his enthusiasm and warmth touched you even a little during his time with Laing O'Rourke colleagues at the Margam project, if Ollie reached your ears through the podcast, brightened your timeline with a clever quip, made you laugh on the away bus or any of the countless ways he will be missed; any kind contribution or share would mean the world to those who loved him.

Our deepest sympathies and thoughts are with his nearest and dearest at this time.

Rest easy, cysgu'n dawel, Ollie.
