Catherine and I are reaching out on behalf of Lisa Marie Stetler, our dear friend who lost everything in the tragic Pacific Palisades fire. With very little time to evacuate she did the best she could and is so grateful she was able to grab a few possessions and documents. But all else was a total loss and the house she rented was burned to the ground . She feels horrible for everyone who has suffered a loss and is always putting everyone else first.

Through Bel Air Presbyterian Church and other organizations, she has worked on 7 humanitarian teams to help people in need around the world and sometimes dangerous situations: The Democratic Republic of the Congo, Egypt, Colombia, Zimbabwe, South Africa and China. From working in hospitals to comfort the sick, going into a prison or buying books for children, she doesn't shy away from any task. Lisa lives by the Gandhi quote, "If you lose yourself, you will find yourself in the service of others."

Lisa will need to find a new place to live as well as to replace basic necessities and all the items she lost.

We know that many people are in this situation but if you have anything at all to spare, please donate to help Lisa rebuild her life. Lisa means very much to us and so many others, and in her time of need, we'd like to help her. She would never ask for help, so we're doing it now. We are grateful and praying for all who are suffering.
