Support Needed for Heart Attack Recovery
Donation protected
As some of you may remember, I shared my lifelong friend Jen’s GoFundMe and her story a few weeks ago. She didn’t ask me to, and she hasn’t had the strength to put her situation into words. Today, I checked in with her, and things have taken an even more heartbreaking turn. She’s back in the hospital and barely able to speak. Her husband is so overwhelmed he can’t even think straight.
So I’ve taken it upon myself to be the one to update you and ask—again—for your help. Jen and her husband haven’t been able to work during her series of heart attacks and escalating complications. They are now on the brink of losing their home and are struggling just to keep a roof over their daughter’s head.
If you can donate—no amount is too small—it would truly mean the world to them, and to all of us who love them. Even a single dollar is not an insult; it’s a gesture of compassion. And if you can’t donate, please, please share this publicly. Your voice can help us reach someone who can.
Thank you for using social media to make a real difference in someone’s life.

Here's the latest update from Jen:
As of April 28, I’ve now suffered 10 heart attacks and have seven stents in my heart. I’m only 45 years old. I’ve lived with Type 1 diabetes for 40 years and have been insulin-dependent for the last 17. On top of that, I’ve been diagnosed with a painful, irreversible condition called gastroparesis. It means my vagus nerve isn’t working properly, so my stomach can’t digest food or move it through my system.
I live with constant nausea and spend most days vomiting only bile and stomach acid. Over the past month, I’ve been hospitalized almost every single day—only home for two days in total. My blood pressure consistently stays dangerously low, around 80/60 or 80/50, and my heart rate stays between 100 and 120. The doctors can’t figure out why. They keep adjusting my medications, but nothing has helped so far. On top of all that, I’ve suffered multiple falls due to my low blood pressure, landing me back in the hospital over and over again.
I started having heart attacks back in 2009. It’s been battle for sure! I recently suffered 2 more heart attacks on 4/23/25. I also had to have 3 stents put in.
My insurance has covered most of it but it’s the rest I can’t pay. I’m asking everyone to please go and donate anything that could help me and my family out. Between emergency ER visits, multiple surgeries, intensive care, and ongoing medications (blood thinners, cholesterol drugs, etc.), my out-of-pocket expenses are adding up to $4673 and I'm currently unable to work as I recover, and I need help covering:
• Hospital bills & ER visits
• Follow-up cardiologist visits & stress test
• Monthly medications & supplies:
• Living expenses (rent, utilities, groceries)
Once l've recovered enough, I'll be starting a cardiac rehab program and working with my doctor to adjust my diet and lifestyle. Every dollar raised will go directly to my medical costs and keeping a roof over my head while I regain my strength.
Any amount, big or small, makes a difference.
