Julian DiChiaro Memorial Fund Raiser

My brother Julian DiChiaro was tragically killed this December 2020 in a car accident the week before Christmas and his 30th birthday. My family and friends have been struggling without him in a way that is hard to truly comprehend and understand.  The sudden loss of a vibrant young man, father and friend cannot be described in words.  It is a pain like no other. Efforts are now in place to honor him with a Celebration of Life aligning with the Autumn Equinox at D-Barn in Longmont, Colorado Sunday, September 26th.  More information will be available in early summer. My family wants to celebrate with some of Julian’s favorite things: music, BBQ and craft beer. My dear friend and his band members of Flash Mountain Flood is providing music.  Young and old will be able to attend and come together to pay tribute to Julian.  At the time of the accident, COVID restrictions kept us from having a farewell for Julian that he deserved, and this will help with healing. We also are needing funds to arrange a cemetery plot, burial, and headstone.

Those who knew Julian – know to know him is to love him!  Julian was one of a kind.  A man with a big heart who had boundless love for his children, family, and friends. He has sadly left behind his three children and wife, parents, siblings, grandma, cousins, multitude of relatives and a lifetime of friends.  This effort to raise money for this event will bring everyone who is grieving his loss together.Julian had just started his newest life’s endeavor in partnership with me:  a greenhouse and agriculturally based business in central Illinois – that he named Southern Living.  My brother spent many years working as a sales manager at Big O Tire in Longmont and had the desire to branch out and use his immense talents to follow his heart into this new adventure.  His life ironically was cut short right before seeing the business and his passion come together.  This has left another huge hole in the hearts of those who knew him and loved him.  Every day we mourn the many things that should have been that are now no longer.

The estimate on the Celebration of Life is $8000.  The cemetery plot, headstone and burial are $5000.  The GO FUND monies will be used for this and if the generosity of contributions exceeds the needed amount, then all extra monies will be placed in an educational fund and available for his children.

Julian’s family thanks you from the bottom of their hearts! All of us continue to be thankful that we were blessed and fortunate for all the love and caring we received when he was killed and that we continue to receive as we learn to navigate his loss and life without him. We appreciate any contribution even in spirit!

With love,

Andrew DiChiaro
