Dear Family & Friends of Kathy,
Kathy has put up a fierce battle against this cancer throughout the winter and spring, but unfortunately her body has become too weak. After months of doctors visits, various therapies, surgeries, and hospital stays, Kathy will now receive hospice care in the peaceful setting of her home alongside her loving daughters Lauren and Kelli.
Please pray for Kathy and her family as they continue together on this most difficult journey.
Her MAMS Family has decided to reinstate this fundraiser so that her daughters may continue to provide her with the very best of care. Kathy has always given her best self to others…and, simply put, Kathy deserves the BEST.

Our friend and colleague, Kathy Joyce, has been battling brain cancer since March 2021. Kathy has taught in our school district for over twenty years as a dedicated and talented special education teacher and Wilson reading specialist. As a District, we wish to share with you an opportunity to support her as she continues her fight. Please consider donating.
A message from Kathy's daughters:
On March 16th, 2021, Kathleen McCarthy Joyce (Kathy Joyce) was taken to Jersey Shore Medical Center with symptoms of a stroke. Within hours, we faced the heavy diagnosis of an extremely aggressive brain cancer, grade 4 Glioblastoma.
Since then, our mom has undergone two emergency intracranial surgeries to remove the tumor, standard chemotherapy, radiation, and several clinical trials with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. With any cancer diagnosis, there comes an extensive list of unforeseen expenses: home care, transportation, medical supplies, and crucial medications, to name just a few.
We could write a series on our mom and the incredible person she is, but if you’ve had the opportunity to have her in your life, you already know.

Our motto since March 16th, 2021, has been “whatever it takes,” and we are doing just that.
