Help Kelly Fight Cancer
Donation protected
My mother, Kelly McGrath, has been diagnosed with advanced breast cancer that has spread to her bones, causing excruciating pain and almost complete immobility. Although she is beginning treatment soon, her intense pain prevents her from working, cooking, cleaning, and most daily activities. As a gig worker, my mother does not receive any benefits from an employer and worries about expenses such as rent, utilities, food, and other costs related to her care.
We are asking for immediate help so she may maintain her quality of life while beginning her difficult cancer treatments.
My mother has always been a caregiver. In 1992, she became a mom - the best mom - and raised me as a divorced, working parent. In 1997, she took in her grandmother, Cecelia, and continued to care for her for the rest of her life. Then, in 2010, she took in her mother, Darlene, and saw her through her battle with lung cancer - taking part-time work to be there for doctor appointments and assist with home care. Now, as she begins her own cancer journey, I hope to be able to provide the same care and support she so lovingly gave us throughout her life.
We are so very grateful for any support you can lend our family at this difficult time.
Thank you so much for your time and consideration.
