Hi, my name is Justin White and I have recently been going through a tough time since October 2022. I fell under scrutiny from my family after I was outed for being gay by my eldest sister. I then was told unspeakably things from my family. I was hurt and I’m unsure about my entire life making me become depressed and confused why my life was the way it was. I then finally told my entire family about how I am gay and that I’m proud of who I am. This in some way was a huge mistake because over the next week I was told terrible things that would disrupt my relationship with my family forever. I then decided that for my mental health I needed to leave to give myself and the situation space so that things wouldn’t escalate. This prompted me to leave my house which I have been away from since October 29th. After the horrible phone calls from my family had died down I decided to go back to try and better things with my parents and mend what was damaged over me being gay. This however did not work. I arrived at my house with the four closest people to me and I was brutally turned away. Sadly, I am an 18 year old boy currently in high school and a senior. I have always wanted to attend the University of Texas to be able to better educate myself in the Business field. However I don’t have the funds since I am very disconnected with my parents. My dream is to go to the University of Texas at Austin, but if that doesn’t work out for me I would like to go to Austin Community College for a year and transfer in. I believe in myself and won’t let any of these setbacks or challenges get in my way. Please help me prove to young boys around the world that are scared to express themselves that everything will be alright. Help me raise 20k to help further my education so that one day I can create a company aimed towards helping youth in hard circumstances.
