On Oct. 30, Jeff, Laura, and Rebekah were helping a young girl (19) who was leaving a bad situation when, sadly they were all beaten with a bat.

Laura has a badly bruised left forearm, Rebekah's left side of her face is bruised, and Jeff's skull was fractured and he has a concussion. He received 6 staples and spent the 1st night on the ventilator.

Jeff remains stable. His CT scans are not showing any major changes to the bleeders found when he was admitted.

As of Nov. 1, Jeff is doing remarkably well, but he cannot eat or concentrate due to the overwhelming headache he has because of the concussion and broken skull. He is also experiencing a lot of confusion due to the concussion. He has started PT and sleeps a lot. We need the concussion to resolve so we can tell truly how he's doing.

Jeff will be in the hospital for the foreseeable future and unable to work. Laura just found work after being laid off 2 years ago.

The young girl (19) who they were helping is currently staying with them. They now have an extra person to care for as well as caring for themselves.

The individual who created such heartache and months of recovery for the Alexander family is currently in jail. We just ask that justice is served. They just found out a restraining order had been denied.
