House Fire Loss

Hi. My name is Lyss, and the photo you see above is what’s left of my mom’s condo building. Honestly I’m not sure what else to say. I’m lucky she and my brother and their puppy, Suki made it out without any injuries. Unfortunately the damage to her unit is extensive and it looks like she’s lost everything. A lifetime of memories and the dress she planned to wear to my wedding in September. My gramma’s heirlooms and grampa’s signet ring.

this is by far one of the more surreal experiences we’ve been through as a family. My mom is the most resilient person I know, but this has shaken her to her core. She needs some help, though, and more than we can provide right now. She’s made an insurance claim it since it’s a holiday it will take until at least Tuesday for her to even hear back. I know she’s not going to ask for help outright, but I’m willing to do it for her. Thank you for even reading this, and if you donate or share, I’m more grateful than I can explain.
