"In loving memory of our dear father, Thomas Dale Yates, who peacefully passed away on December 16, 2023. Reunited with our mother and departed loved ones, his absence is deeply felt, and our hearts are heavy with sorrow.
Born in 1961, Dad faced numerous health challenges, from a life-altering fall in 1990 to battling leukemia, a brain tumor, kidney and liver failure, and other adversities, showing immense resilience. Despite these hardships, he remained a pillar of strength, displaying unwavering determination and love for his family.
A devoted husband, brother, father, grandfather, and cherished friend to many, Dad left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered. He wholeheartedly supported our endeavors, actively participating in our lives. From attending every performance of his daughters to cheering on his son at karate matches and baseball games, Dad was there, creating lasting memories. His involvement extended beyond family, as he played an active role in his children's school booster program and volunteered with his daughter's performance youth group. Known for baking the best bread pudding at family gatherings, Dad brought warmth and joy to those around him.
As we honor his memory, we face significant expenses for end-of-life arrangements. We humbly reach out for your support in alleviating this financial burden. Your generosity means more to us than words can express.
Together, we can ensure our father's legacy is honored with the love and dignity he deserves. Saying farewell is never easy; our hearts ache. Please hold your loved ones close and express your love each day. Reminisce about a fond memory shared with Dad, whether it be through prayer, quietly on your own, or enjoying time with loved ones, know that he feels it too.
With love from your three kids,
Emily, Sarah & Clayton, and all your grandchildren, Bexley, Odin, Arik, and Kinsley."
