My father, Roland (Windy) Windham, is not only a local legend but our hero. Back in April, he had a stroke that landed him in the ER. He got out of the hospital and was doing well for a while. He was scheduled for a bypass surgery on the 29th of this past month (June). While he was in the hospital for the surgery, they had to admit him into the hospital for observation because the incision they had to perform was larger than usual. During his stay in the hospital, he has since had 2 more strokes and has been paralyzed completely on the right side of his body. My father can only see out of one eye and can not talk. He has found other ways to communicate though, he is learning to sign and luckily that has been a God send to us for understanding him. My parents are struggling with all of the medical bills from the last time he was in the hospital back in April, not including all of the medical bills that are piling up from this current stay.

My dad is a fighter, a strong fighter. He is a loving, caring, talented man. He would give the shirt off of his back to help someone else. He is a wonderful father, and a talented musician. He has become depressed because he is scared that he may never be able to play guitar again because of his paralysis. Please help my family. Every little bit helps. EVERY DOLLAR. He would do anything he could to help anyone, and he always has.
