Conceptual Art Therapy
Donation protected
Conceptual Art Therapy was founded by John H. Lee MFA and Art Therapist to help people heal, learn, and grow through art. We are a Pomona, CA-based non-profit organization that provides art and art therapy programs at little to no cost benefitting teens in the Pomona Unified School District.
Our programs have included:
- Acrylic Art Classes
- Photography Classes
- Summer/Afterschool Programs
- Field Trips
- UNMUTED: A Youth-Led Newspaper
- Say It With Your Chest: T-Shirt Design & Marketing
- The Eye Opener: Fine Art Photography Program
All of these programs have run based on collaborations or grants, however, as we start our new afterschool art classes, circumstances have required us to put a price on entry. This 6-week afterschool art class will cost students $140 each to pay for instruction, materials, studio space, transportation, and trips.
Through this fundraiser, you can sponsor a student to get into this program. A donation of $140 acts as a full scholarship for one student while a donation of less than $140 acts as a partial scholarship or combines with another donation to equal a full scholarship.
We hope to fill our classrooms with 40 fully sponsored students, and any extra funding will only make the experience for them better. With all the things a teen can be doing in Pomona, we want them to spend their time within the safety of our programs -- being creative.
Help us to provide them with the best experience with as few barriers as possible.
