Help me get something off my chest...

Hey guys! Thank you for taking the time to stop by and at least read my journey! I am a transgender man (ftm) and I am in the beginning steps of my journey! So a little about me, I am 30 years old and my name is Chorei; I came out as a lesbian to my friends and family around the age of 14. It wasn’t a very good time in my life, especially the reaction I received from the people around me about being involved in the LGBT community. I always felt like a piece of me was missing and I suffered a lot with depression. Because of the backlash I received, I wasn’t comfortable telling people I also knew I was a man, even though I always presented myself as one. Ever since I can remember, I’ve always presented myself as more masculine, as a kid I wore baggy clothes without T shirts (until puberty of course! Lol) and I always had barbies to play with, as the girlfriends to my ninja turtles and G.I. Joes. I was never able to live as my true self until recently. The LGBTQ+ community has accomplished so much and has came so far since my coming out sixteen years ago. Although we still have a long way to go, because of the success we have made, I was able to have my second coming out! I recently told my family I was transgender, and they were more supportive this second time around. I am fortunate enough to have a decent size support group, which has been one load off of my shoulders on my journey. The biggest issue now comes with finances. Although the surgeries and medication aren’t astronomical, most doctors don’t accept insurance for gender reassignment surgery. This is where I need help from my community. I plan on coming up with as much money as I can on my own, but I will also have to take time off of work for recovery and right now, who I truly am seems to be out of reach. Which is why I’m reaching out to you! Even if all you can do is read and share this, that’s extremely helpful! Anything is appreciated.
