King is in need of urgent surgery.

King has been living with us, Miriam and Lu, for 9 years. He was born in Mexico City in 2015 and moved with our family to Chicago in 2023. He is a core member of our family, originating from a breeder farm where he was abandoned because of a hernia.

Miriam’s mother rescued him, arranged for surgery, and named him after her childhood dog, King. When she was no longer able to care for him, we adopted him.

Since then, he has undergone two surgeries and requires special care, but he still leads a happy, active life. He is to,ugh littleguy! and has become our companion and cherished friend, traveling with us through various cities and countries.

A few weeks ago he had an eye infection, which are common in dogs like him, however this one behaved differently and created an ulcer in to his cornea that led to vision loss and the need to remove his eye to avoid further complications.
