Medical and travel expenses.

Dearest Family and Friends,

Last month, my sweet sister, Maryalyse, was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Because of the advanced stage, there have been some complications that have arisen, resulting in surgeries and other necessary procedures. We hope that she can heal from these procedures, go home, and begin chemotherapy next week. She is receiving wonderful care at the hospital in Mexico City, but similar to the States, medical care is expensive, especially with her extended hospital stays, surgeries, upcoming chemo, travel from Cuernavaca to Mexico City, etc. Many have graciously asked how they can help, so here is a way for you to do so. Whether you know Maryalyse from childhood, college, medical school, work, etc., you know she is the most selfless individual, always putting others before herself. The care she gives to her family, her patients, and her friends is second to none. I am hoping that her lifetime of concern and love for others can come back to her tenfold and help her and her family win this battle she is up against. Thank you to everyone who has offered love, support, and prayers. It is truly appreciated and does not go unnoticed. Maryalyse, Norman, Elia, Santiago, my Dad, and I are grateful for you all.
