Once again an Officer is assaulted and gets suspended because the actions taken to protect themself isn’t perfect.
Last month, Officer T. Hall had an inmate spit in his face. He immediately went to the bathroom to clean up. Upon Officer Hall leaving the bathroom he was met by the same inmate being led out of the area by the Probe team. This time the inmate lunged at him and Officer Hall defended himself.
Investigators found flaws in how Officer Hall defended himself and he was suspended for 7 days.
Every day we are asked to manage the unmanageable and are punished when we fall short of these expectations.
