Twenty-seven years ago this May, my older brother Brian, a junior in high school was in a car accident that resulted in a spinal cord injury. Through the hardest of times, he has taught me and everyone that knows him the definition of strength, patience, courage and determination. Quite simply, he is my hero.
On May 18, I will be running my last lap around Brooklyn in the Brooklyn Half Marathon. I am running in honor of Brian and the two million people in the U.S that are living with a Spinal Cord Injury. I am running so I can see Brian walk. I am running in support of the "Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation".
With your support, our dream these last 27 years is within arms reach. 100% of your donations will be going directly to research and ongoing trials through the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation. The Reeve Foundation is dedicated to curing spinal cord injury by funding innovative research, and improving the quality of life for people living with paralysis through grants, information and advocacy.
For those of you who have been on this journey with us all of these years, thank you for your continued support and love. For those just joining us, stay with us. We are getting so close to the day we have been waiting for.
Please join me in making a difference for millions of people living with a Spinal Cord Injury.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you!
