We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts on behalf of our longtime friends & neighbors Shawn & Amy Johnson and their 2 children and dog Willow; a beautiful family in Ramsey, Minnesota, who have recently experienced a fire, smoke, and water damage that has left their home inhabitable. The fire destroyed their garage, many woodworking tools, and vehicles. Thankfully they all were able to escape the home safely.

Shawn’s hobby is woodworking and making / repairing furniture. Shawn and Amy love DIY projects and their home reflected that so beautifully. Amy is an incredible homemaker who also homeschools her teenage children. One child is a talented artist and one child loves technology, gaming, and playing guitar. This family is always looking for ways to bless and help others & have positively impacted many friends, family, and community.

Insurance should cover a rebuild and their vehicles, as well as many items lost in the home and garage. They would use these donations responsibly and take care of their immediate and day to day needs for the next year while their home is in the process of being redone. They would also use the donations for any other expenses that aren’t covered by their insurance.

The emotional toll of losing so much of what they owned is immeasurable, and the family is now facing the daunting task of moving forward while dealing with the mental aspect of this tragedy.
