In September 2020, Landon was diagnosed with  a high-grade neuroepithelial brain tumor.  This is a very rare and aggressive form of cancer. He is one of only 10 patients in the U.S. who have ever been diagnosed and treated with this same cancer. In December, Landon finished his first months of radiation treatment. The effects of the radiation caused Landon to lose his appetite and thus lose a lot of weight. In December, Landon had a feeding tube placed to ensure proper nutrition and no further weight loss. Following a 6 week reprieve, Landon has now begun intensive Chemotherapy in Nashville. He is currently admitted to the hospital for 3 days a week to receive the treatments. This routine will last for 6 to 7 months.
