Karens Battle with Stage 4 Cancer

Hi my name is AJ and I am here trying to support my mom, Karen. My mom is such a beautiful soul who has been on such a rough journey the last few years. My mom, Karen, is a licensed travel nurse who takes great pride in helping and taking care of others. Moving from hectic south Florida to the Georgia mountains was supposed to be the start of her best life yet.

Instead, just 11 shorts months after moving, she was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer. The doctors told her from the beginning that the odds didn't look very good for her and that she would have to start aggressive chemotherapy immediately. She began the treatments the very next week. These treatments are very expensive and taxing on the body. After 19 months of aggressive chemotherapy (costing $20,000.00 per month), major surgery, cat scans, pet scans, having a port inserted into her chest, numerous doctors visits, losing all of her hair, energy, and brain power, she officially moved into remission. The whole family was so happy as we really thought we were going to lose our mom at the young age of only 51. Her hair began to come back, her mental clarity returned (not 100% but better than during chemo), and she was even able to start hiking the beautiful Georgia mountain trails again.

Now, sadly, her cancer has returned and we don't know where to turn. With $1.2 million in debt already from her first run with cancer, she cannot possibly afford any more chemotherapy and all the other tests and doctors visits that go along with it. WE CANNOT LET HER LOSE THIS BATTLE... WE ALL STILL NEED HER SO BADLY IN OUR LIVES. We have found her an alternative, life saving option but need help paying for it. There is a proven medical process, cryoablation, which freezes and kills cancer tumors and adding an adjuvent to the frozen tumor which allow the immune system to recognize other cancer cells and tumors, causing cancer cell death in all parts of the body, without the harmful effects of chemotherapy on her mind, liver, hair, and body. (Cryoablation is a procedure in which an extremely cold liquid is used to freeze and destroy abnormal tissue, including tumors under 2cm. Can be used to treat many types of cancer and conditions which may be cancerous.)

We ask that you please help with all that you can so we can save my mom's life. This new process is much more financially doable with an 80% success rate. We hope and pray that we can get this to happen for her.
