Domina Franco Healing Fund

Hi! My name is Dana Hamilton and I have set up this fundraiser link on behalf of my close friend, Domina Franco. Due to the nature of this financial emergency, Domina set up a separate fundraiser for herself under her government name to be shared with friends and family. This fundraiser is for students and fans who know Domina's work in the sexuality space. Like most female sexuality educators, Domina uses a pseudonym so she can protect her identity and ensure her safety.

Domina is a single, queer disabled woman who recently lost her job in NYC. Being without health insurance while living with an autoimmune disorder and PTSD was further complicated by a recent diagnosis of an extremely rare neuropathic disorder called Trigeminal Neuralgia which creates debilitating nerve pain in her face, jaw, and ear. This condition, which has no cure, has led Domina to nearly vomit and faint in public.

Domina is currently undergoing treatment (while uninsured) to alleviate this pain, but most days are a struggle. If you're familiar with her work, you know Domina approaches life with positivity and a sense of humor. Unfortunately, this condition has completely derailed her life and put her in a financial emergency. This fund is to help Domina as she navigates treatment, and cover her living expenses until she is well enough to gain new employment and work full-time again.

Domina has experienced homelessness and many other obstacles in the past, and, as her friend, I know how difficult it is for her to ask for help. Your donation (or sharing this link if you can't financially assist right now) would enable her to heal for the next few months and help her get back on her feet.
