For too long now, Black people worldwide have come up against barriers designed to hold back progress. It is tragic how many talented, gifted, hard-working Black people have run into these barriers on their way to success – the devastation impossible to gauge accurately. Yet, we see it all around us. We see that the wage system has failed Black communities, leading to stagnation and widespread poverty. Looking to any statistical measure, we see that we are not where we need to be. Our society has not moved forward from the ills and the evils that have caused Black people far and wide such tremendous harm.

We know that if we continue to accept the status quo, our world is never going to get any better. The standards that we have inherited are insufficient. If we ignore them or pretend that they are going to correct themselves at some point in the distant future, we are only setting ourselves up for disappointment. We can no longer accept those lies. We need to take action, and at Black Economy Excellence, that is precisely what we are doing.

Black Economy Excellence is a bold take on long-standing problems because instead of simply relying on people’s good will, we have devoted ourselves to establishing new systems. This is not about small change: what we are working toward will change the world. We are on a mission to empower more Black people than ever before, allowing entrepreneurship, creativity, and vision to soar throughout Black communities everywhere.

This is our plan for the future.


Introducing: PurposeBlack

PurposeBlack is an e-commerce multi-vendor marketplace that benefits social programs completely. Yes, 100% of all proceeds from PurposeBlack will go to endeavors for the public good. We are thinking outside the box in an effort to generate results that would have seemed impossible only a few short years ago. The way that we see it, the world is ready for change – as long as we are ready to stand up for it.

This will create a sustainable, self-perpetuating remedy to the economic problems that have affected Black people for centuries and that affect Black people today. Our first-of-its-kind platform will serve businesses that work with Black communities, especially Black-owned businesses that are investing their profits into other Black-owned businesses.

You do not need a graduate degree in economics to see how this will work: every time one of our our supporters donates to support our effort, it will serve to foster the next generation of Black entrepreneurs. Long-term, that will serve to foster the next generation of Black millionaires – which is what we are all about.


Our Goals

We have set a series of goals that we can use as metrics over the coming years. The first of those is to expand PurposeBlack into the largest e-commerce marketplace serving Black communities by 2025. By then, we will be able to see how viable the PurposeBlack concept is and understand what else we need to do to connect with potential members.

We are not going to stop there, though. By 2030, we want PurposeBlack to grow into one of the top ten of all e-commerce marketplaces. This will place us among the ranks of juggernauts like Amazon and Alibaba. Around the same time, we aim to become the largest pan-African e-commerce marketplace – a global e-commerce marketplace for 2 million vendors and 100 million monthly customers.

At the heart of everything we are doing is our 10-year 1 Million Black Millionaires Initiative. We are devoting 100% of all our proceeds to this. We know it’s possible.  Are you ready to bring this groundbreaking concept to life?


What Happens Next

The next step for us is to raise enough capital to scale and expand PurposeBlack globally. To do that, we have set a funding goal of $500,000. That will cover all of our technical costs, getting PurposeBlack up and running in a timely manner. If we raise anything above that goal, we will divert the remainder to advertising, promoting PurposeBlack to an even wider audience.

Risks & Challenges

There is demand for the type of social-minded entrepreneurship we are championing at Black Economy Excellence. Black people have faced unreasonable, unfair, and unjust barriers in the global economy for too long already. Together, we can change that. It will not be easy, but if we all collaborate, it is possible.

If we run into any logistical challenges along the way, we will figure out a way to overcome them. You can also count on us to remain transparent throughout this process, providing regular updates about the progress that we are making.
