Mrs. Jennifer Gray Brumskin was an advocate for equality and justice, and women's right, philanthropist and a former Chairlady of the Island Liberian Community Association (SILCA) board of directors. The Staten Island Liberian Community Association is a 501c3 organization that caters to Liberians and Liberian descendent residing in Staten Island, Richmond County. SILCA also runs a Food Pantry in Building 180 Park Hill Avenue 10304 that serves over one thousand (1,000) families from all nationalities. Before her death, Jennifer served as the Liaison and direct link for the current administration, networking with other African communities, non-African communities, non for profits and governmental entities.
